"Gotta Love the Pug Puppies "

Welcome to the world of being owned by a pug. A pug is unlike any breed of dog ever known to woman or mankind. A pug is a naturally curious little clown who will remember everything it has done to make you laugh and will repeat it for as long as you continue to laugh. They are the most loving creatures on this earth, and don’t ask for love, they demand it and demand it on their own terms. In return for giving a pug a little pat on the head, a kiss on the whatever, or even just a stroke, is a love that has no boundaries. Pugs don’t care if you have a bad hair day, aren’t slim or attractive to look at, they don’t care if you’re not in style or can afford the best clothes, a pug only knows a couple things—food, love and a lap

And speaking of food—in all my years of raising dogs, I have never seen anything that enjoys food as much as a pug, other than myself that is. Don’t tell my vet, but my pugs have white styrofoamitis, they think anything that comes into the house in a white Styrofoam box is just for them. I have been known to put their dog food in a Styrofoam box and they eat it like it is a steak! My pugs love veggies, mostly cooked, and especially seafood (cooked of course), and will kill for apples.

We travel in a motor home with our pugs and they are excellent travelers. Just give them a lap and some food and they are good to go. We have gone thousands and thousands of miles with both of them and they like to look out the windows at things going by and love to bark at other dogs in cars. They are content to spend their time in the RV and think of it as their second home. Just try to get out the front door of the house with the motor home keys in your hand without them!

We have had several litters now out of Tiger. This year, 3 alone! All the mommas were fawn and who said that fawn was the predominate color? I think it was me, last year. However, out of the 13 puppies born this year, 9 were brindle, still no blacks. However, this year we had 7 males and only 6 females, whereas in the past, there were always more girls. Oh well, brindle or female, take your choice. Our puppies are now scattered from Ontario Canada to Southern California and points in between. We hope they are all as loved and appreciated as our two are, that is that they are spoiled rotten.

We have settled down and are no longer traveling full time, but still go to the Southwest in the winter. The kids do like to travel and love the deserts of Arizona and the hill country in Texas. Tiger is available for stud at any time of the year.
